Ozaclean is an independent website about home cleaning, stain removal, cleaning products and household organization. This page explains how our articles are made, which sources we rely on, and how to reach us if something is wrong.
How we choose topics
We write about the questions readers actually ask. We prefer fewer, more complete guides over many thin pages, and we regularly merge or retire articles that no longer meet our standards.
How articles are written
Articles are published under the pen name Megan Hart. We use AI writing tools to help research and draft them. Every draft starts with a research step that looks for authoritative sources first, and the links we cite are checked to make sure they point to real, live pages. We do not let the tools invent sources, statistics, prices, test results or personal stories, and we do not claim to have tested a product unless we say exactly how.
Our sources
When we cite facts or guidance, we look for:
- government and public health agencies (such as the EPA, CDC and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission),
- product labels and manufacturers’ official instructions and safety data sheets,
- universities, extension services and recognized professional bodies.
We avoid using forums, social media posts or other blogs as evidence. When information is limited or mixed, we say so.
Keeping content up to date
We review and rewrite older articles when better information becomes available, when a page is incomplete, or when readers point out a problem. Updated articles show the date of their last update.
Advertising and affiliate links
This site shows ads and some pages contain affiliate links (for example to Amazon). If you buy through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Product mentions are not paid placements, and a commission never changes what we write. We do not publish sponsored posts.
Corrections and feedback
If you find an error, an outdated fact or a broken source, please use our contact page. We review every report and correct the article when it is wrong. Please also read our safety disclaimer.
